A traditional event kicking off fall and KSU football in Manhattan is scheduled Friday evening in downtown. Purple Power Play will run from 5 - 8:30 p.m. at the Blue Earth Plaza, 315 S. 3rd St. Admission will be free.
There will be live music, food trucks, inflatables, along with the Pride of Wildcat Land, Classy Cats, Cheerleaders, Coaches and Players from a variety of K-State teams.
Numerous performances are planned. They include:

6:30 - 8:15 p.m.
--Resonate A Capella
--Washington Dance Studio
--Manhattan High School Dazzling Blues
--Bates Dance Studio
8:30 p.m.
K-State pep rally
It includes the marching band and cheer, Willie the Wildcat, Classy Cats, Coach Jerome Tang and players, women's basketball team, coach Van Malone.
