Blue Jays and Lady Jays compete in Centennial League Track Meet

Junction City finished fourth in boys and sixth in girls team competition at the Centennial League Track Meet in Emporia on Thursday.

For the Lady Jays Nhubia Coney finished third in he 100 meter dash in 12.47, third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.31 and second in the 400 meters in 1:00.32. 

   Lorna Rae Pierce was second in he 1600 meter run with a time of 5:34.97 and second in the 3200 meter run in 11:56.94.

The girls four x 100 relay team of Patience Okemba, Nhubia Coney, Shamiyah and Jayda Harris finished first on 51.03. 

For the Blue Jay boys  Tyler Atkins finished second in the 800 meter run in 1:58.99, second in the 1600 meters in 4:27.69,  the boys 4 x 400 relay team of Thelonius Jones, Randall Banks, Brayden Smith and Tyre Smith were second in 43.66, the 4 x 400 relay team of Josiah Delva, Anthony Kemp, Jayden Reutzel and Ethan Agudzi-Addo finished third in 3:29.31.

Ethan Agudzi-Addo won the high jump with a mark of 6'4,   Randall Banks was third in the long jump with a mark of 21'6.25,"   Keghan McConnell second in the discus with a throw of 144'8" and second in the shot put with a throw of 49'3."

Manhattan won the team title in both boys and girls competition.
