Junction City ( 9-3 ) opened up a lead in the second quarter to lead 33-20 at halftime and then moved on to a 77-57 win over Topeka High ( 3-10 ) in boys basketball at JCHS Friday night.
Blue Jay coach Nick Perez like what he saw on offense for Junction City. "I like our guys, I like the way we made some shots, Seth ( Clark ) made some shots tonight, Deontae made a couple of shots. "
Sheldon Butler-Lawson had a good game with 15 points. "I'm proud of him." Perez added that Butler-Lawson finished on drives to the basket. "He did a great job, made some free throws and proud of his effort on the defensive side."
Junction City will play at Seaman Tuesday night.
