Registered Kansas offender jailed for skipping court

RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a registered Kansas offender on new allegations. 

Just before 3:30p.m. Sunday, police arrested 40-year-old Marcus Grant, 40, of  Ogden, in the 200 block of 7th Street in Ogden, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

Grant was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. The original charge was for violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act. Grant was issued a total bond of $5,000 and was confined at the time of this report. 

Grant has been a registered offender since August of 2013 for aggravated robbery conviction in Salina and aggravated battery conviction in Junction City, according to the Kansas Offender Registry.
