Junction City police confirm their poultry pursuit has come to an end.
The elusive chicken that's been ruffling feathers around town has been safely apprehended! Animal control officer Becky Meneffe managed to catch this feathered friend without a single scratch on her.
Police said that they're thrilled to report that she's now pecking around happily in a loving home outside the city limits, where she can cluck to her heart's content.
As amusing as this little escapade was, it's important to remember that owning chickens within city limits is not allowed. Leave the chicken rearing to the more rural areas.
As to the chicken's name that determination has not been made.
