Geary County Commissioner Keith Ascher on Monday applauded the work of Geary County Public Works personnel to help recovery efforts following the big rainfall the night of April 26 and morning of April 27.
There was a flood warning for several hours and damage to rural roads. Stretches of several roads were under water for a period of time.
Ascher explained during a county commission meeting that there was a lot of damage but in three days they pretty much had it taken care of.
