Numerous business items came before the Junction City Commission Tuesday night.
--The governing body approved an ordinance regarding daycare and child facilities. It is in with state requirements.
--Junction City was one of 25 cities selected by T-Mobile for a $50,000 grant for alley beautification plans.
--Oct. 6th through the 12th is Fire Prevention Week in Junction City. Check your smoke alarms.
--Ideas suggested for the neighborhood revitalization program include possibly changing it from a five year to a ten year program in the future, and production of a brochure to make information on it more accessible. Changes in the program would need to be approved by the city, county and USD 475.
--Awarded a bid of $230,565 to Bayer Construction for sidewalk repairs.
--And a bulk de-icing salt bid of $50,580 was awarded to Independent Salt Company of Kanopolis, Kansas.
