KDOT says as construction progresses at the K-18/I-70 interchange in Geary County, motorists should be prepared for traffic changes beginning the week of June 22.
Traffic on eastbound and westbound K-18 will be reduced to one 12-foot lane for median construction with a shoulder closure continuing north about .5 mile from southbound K-18/Boller Road.
Motorists should be aware that additional traffic changes on K-18 will take place as work progresses this year.
King Construction, of Hesston, is the prime contractor for this $27.5 million interchange project and has scheduled the entire project to be completed in fall 2027.
