Mark Daniel Goodman was born on October 6, 1963, in Junction City, Kansas. He departed this life on February 1, 2026, in Topeka, Kansas, leaving behind cherished memories.

Mark served as a meat department manager for Food for Less in both Junction City and Manhattan, Kansas. His career path also led him to the Harrah's Casino, where he worked for many years as a surveillance supervisor, demonstrating his commitment and expertise in multiple roles.

An individual who valued education, Mark graduated from Junction City High School Class of 1982 and earned his associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Rasmussen University, a pursuit that showcased his determination and ambition. He carried this passion for learning into all aspects of his life, engaging deeply with his hobbies and interests.

Mark was known for his great sense of humor and was fondly regarded as the fun uncle by his family. He created unforgettable memories through family road trips, where his lively spirit left a lasting impact on those who traveled alongside him. Possessing a love for creativity, Mark delighted in the worlds of reading, movies, and computer games; he was particularly fond of the "Lord of the Rings" and "Dune" franchises, reflecting his vivid imagination.

Mark also found joy in the great outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing during his leisure time. He was also an avid collector of records, a hobby that allowed him to connect with the sounds and times that brought him happiness. Mark had a special affinity for Disney World, a place where he embraced his inner child and made countless treasured memories.

Mark is survived by his devoted parents, Danny C. and Janice M. Goodman; his brother, Kenneth (Kim) Goodman; and his cherished nieces, Kristina (Haden) Baker and Kelsey Wright, as well as his nephew, Kenny Goodman. He also leaves behind the joy of his great-niece and great-nephew, Melody and Malcolm, who will carry his spirit forward.

His legacy will be fondly remembered by those who knew him, as well as by his grandparents, Ruth and Max Foland, and Ima and Brownie Goodman, who welcomed him in spirit, along with his companion, Zoie the Rottweiler, in the eternal embrace of their memories.

Mark Daniel Goodman’s life was marked by laughter, love, and a zest for adventure. A man who always stood out in a crowd, a tall absence will be profoundly felt from the loss of someone with a heart as big as he was.
