Junction City Blue Jay boys swimming captured first place in the nine-team Topeka West High School Invitational. Junction City scored 396 teams points, while Hayden finished second with 380 points.
It was the third meet win of the season for the Blue Jays.

The JCHS bowling team competed in the recent Great Plains Tournament, which coach Brad Adams said was the largest bowling tournament in Kansas. The Blue Jay boys placed fourth and the girls tenth out of 32 teams. For the boys Logan Lindsley placed 10th, Carmine Mancinneli 18 and TJ Lindsay 20th out of 175 bowlers. For the girls Brooke Swango finished fourth out of 169 competitors.
Also, the Lady Jay team captured first place and the boys second at their first home meet this past week.
