The Geary County Sheriff's Department reported that on Monday Deputies responded to the 2800 block of Poland Rd. for a single vehicle accident. Monika Corn of Junction City was traveling east on Poland Rd. in her 2014 Nissan Altima when she swerved to avoid an animal, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Monika sustained minor injuries, but declined medical evaluation on scene. The vehicle was removed by the owner.
