The 31st Annual Junction City Rodeo is happening this Friday and Saturday night, July 18th & 19th, starting at 8:00 P.M. at the Geary County 4-H Fairgrounds Arena, located at 1025 Spring Valley Rd in Junction City.
The rodeo will feature: bareback riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, team roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.
Friday night's theme is Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night . On Saturday night, the theme is Red, White & Blue Night.
There will be events for this kids at the rodeo as well. Kids events include the calf scramble, the boot scramble, and mutton busting.
Tickets to the Junction City Rodeo can be purchased at the gate. Adults are $10.00, kids ages 6-12 are $5.00, and those five and under are free. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Rittel's Western Wear in Abilene. Prices for adults are $9.00, and kids 6-12 are $4.00 in advance.

On Saturday morning, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, is the Special Needs Rodeo. This rodeo is free to all children with special needs who are four years of age and older. (Siblings are encouraged to participate in this as well).

The Junction City Rodeo is also having a gun raffle. The Gun is a Henry 357 / 38 Brass Large Loop, donated by Rusty Trigger FFL. The winning ticket will be drawn during the Saturday night rodeo.
