GEARY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 6p.m. Tuesday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Kia Optima driven by Joseph Anthony Salas, 24, Junction City, rear-ended a 2020 Kia Forte driven by Lizmarie Delgado Torres, 27, Junction City, on the on-ramp to Interstate 70 westbound from Kansas 18.
Delgado Torres was slowing down waiting to merge onto Interstate 70 Westbound due to the traffic.
EMS transported Delgado Torres Irwin Army Community Hospital. Salas was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
