The Lady Jay tennis doubles team of Grace Harris and Stephanie Stanislow finished up their season at the 6A Girls State Tennis Tournament this past weekend in Wichita. The doubles team earned a victory in their second round 9-5 over Garden City. Their first round they lost a close first set 7-5 before dropping the 2nd set 6-1 to Lawrence Free State’s top doubles team.
After defeating Garden City, the Lady Jay doubles team played a team from Blue Valley West for the opportunity to play for a medal on the 2nd day. Unfortunately, even though the Lady Jays were close in every game, Blue Valley West’s team turned out to be too much for the Lady Jays and was able to defeat Harris and Stanislow.
