SALINE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Wednesday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Kia Sportage driven by Jeffrey Lee Sims, 50, Manhattan, was westbound in the 1600 Block of West State Street.
The SUV traveled off the south side of the roadway and into a ditch. The vehicle continued along the embankment, traveled off the edge of the ravine and came to rest in the creek.
EMS transported Sims to Salina Regional Health Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
