KBI: Statewide Silver Alert canceled: missing Kansas man found safe

The Wichita Police Department reported that Michael Camp was located by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, and is safe, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. The silver alert has been canceled.

SEDGWICK COUNTY – The Wichita Police Department requested that the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) issue a statewide Silver Alert for a missing Wichita man, according to a media release from the KBI.

The whereabouts of 74-year-old Michael A. Camp are unknown, and the public’s assistance is requested to help locate him.

Michael was last seen at his residence in the 200 block of S. Mars, around 3 a.m. on Thursday, June 22. He is likely driving a dark blue 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe bearing Kansas Tag 777COJ.  He may have traveled to the Butler County, Kansas area.

Michael is a white male who is around 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and white hair. He was last known wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Michael has Alzheimer’s disease.
