JC Optimists recognize students

Taylor Michele Szimandel-Saporito, a senior at St. Xavier's Catholic High School, was recognized by the JC Breakfast Optimist Club on February 11 at the Hampton Inn, having been selected as the Student of the Quarter for the second quarter. Taylor is the daughter of Juan Szimandel-Gonzales and Erika Gonzales.

Taylor is active in extracurricular activities, captain of the cheer team, helps with the yearbook and volunteers wherever needed.

Taylor received a certificate from the JC Breakfast Optimist Club and a $25.00 gift certificate from JC's BBQ & Gril

Mya Black, daughter of Chris and Jennifer Black, is the JC Breakfast Optimist Club's St. Xavier's High School Student of the First Quarter. Jennifer, who is a sophomore at St. Xavier's High School, was recognized on February 11 at the Hampton Inn for her achievements in the classroom, extracurricular activities and her character that reflects her commitment to God, self, family and community. Mya received a certificate from the Optimist Club and a $25.00 gift certificate from JC's BBQ & Grill.
