The Sunderland Foundation has committed $1,000,000 to advance health care for Kansas youth. Their gift has enhanced the newly renovated Health Center at Rock Springs Ranch.
The Sunderland Foundation’s vision to provide support for the community through higher education and health facilities aligns with Kansas 4-H’s mission to meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of youth. 4-H also provides immersive experiences, fosters innovation, and enhances accessibility with a commitment to access, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
“The Sunderland Foundation's long relationship with the Kansas 4-H Foundation and Rock Springs Ranch demonstrates its commitment to youth and the future of our communities. With this transformational gift, we couldn't be more grateful to the Sunderland Foundation for their belief in the power of youth development and setting a new bar for philanthropic investment in Kansas 4-H,” Jake Worcester, President/CEO said.
“Camper care and safety is the top priority at Rock Springs Ranch, and the new health center was instrumental in welcoming youth back in the midst of a pandemic. This facility gives us the environment to not only care for our youth's physical needs, but also support their mental, emotional, and social health,” Worcester said.
The Kansas 4-H Foundation works with businesses, organizations, individuals, and families who share a common desire to support a statewide effort of growing our future leaders. The Foundation is the 501(c)(3) fundraising arm for Kansas 4-H and Rock Springs Ranch.
