Downtown Junction City at 9th and Washington on Friday will be the site for the first Grub and Grooves of 2022. Craig Bender, coordinator for the event, said it is designed to bring energy downtown. "So we bring in three or four food trucks and some music and just have a chance for Fort Riley Soldiers to come off and interact with us and the community."
The location is across from Godfrey's Indoor Ranges and Tactical Supply. Activities begin at 5 p.m. with the music starting about 5:30 p.m. With the exception of June, the plan is to have a Grub and Grooves the last Friday of each month through August. After this month, the events will be moved to Heritage Park.
