MANHATTAN — Her voice was undeniable. Her fire was unstoppable. Her triumph was unlike any other. At 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, "TINA — The Tina Turner Musical" brings the story of rock 'n' roll legend Tina Turner to McCain Auditorium as part of Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series.
Written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Katori Hall and directed by Tony Award nominee Phyllida Lloyd, "TINA — The Tina Turner Musical" follows Turner's inspiring journey, celebrating her evolution as an artist and her groundbreaking work as a woman in the rock 'n' roll scene — all set to an energetic soundtrack of fan-favorite songs, including "What's Love Got To Do With It," "Proud Mary," "Private Dancer" and "River Deep – Mountain High."
"TINA — The Tina Turner Musical" is recommended for ages 14 and older. The production includes loud music, strobe lighting, haze, guns, scenes depicting domestic violence and strong language.
