WABAUNSEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Saturday in Wabaunsee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2016 Buick passenger vehicle driven by Carsyn C. Frieden, 20, Cheney, was westbound on Interstate 70 just east of Spring Creek Road. The vehicle hydroplaned, left the roadway to the right and collided with a 2008 Chevy pickup that was merging onto Interstate 70 westbound. After impact the Buick rolled and came to rest in the north ditch.
EMS transported Frieden and a passenger in the Buick Abigail D. Pegues, 20, Altamont, to Via Christi in Manhattan. The pickup driver Ryan E. Theel, 43, Alma, was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
