
RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new allegations after an arrest.
Just before noon Wednesday arrested 39-year-old Jeremy Spaur of Manhattan on a Riley County District Court warrant for attempted murder in the first degree- intentional and premeditated, attempted aggravated battery- knowingly using a weapon to cause great bodily harm/disfigurement/death, aggravated assault- use of a deadly weapon, and criminal possession of a weapon, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department.
These charges stem from an event that transpired on or about February 12, 2022. Spaur was also charged with a probation violation and failure to appear. The original charges were for driving on a suspended license, driving without an ignition interlock, tag on the wrong vehicle, and no proof of insurance.
Spaur has previous felony convictions for burglary, theft, obstruction and drugs, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Spaur is being held on a bond of $314,800, according to the RCPD.
