Cold weather this week makes fishing tough on Milford Lake

Bass were hard to come by at Milford Lake on Day One of the Bass Nation Central Regional on Wednesday. 

Only four limits were caught including two in the boater division and two in the co-angler field, according to a Bassmaster report. Eighty-nine anglers did not catch their limit.

Chris Johnson, Farmington, Ark. was in the lead in the boater division with four bass totaling 14 pounds 12 ounces, Mike Wheaton, Ottumwa, Iowa was in second place at 14 pounds, five ounces. 

In the co-angler field Russell Vines was in first place where there was a three-bass limit with a total catch of seven pounds, six ounces.

In  the team standings Colorado was in first with 27 bass weighing 67 pounds, 13 ounces. 

The tournament continues Thursday and Friday at Milford Lake.
