Geary County Commissioners were in session Monday.
--Commissioners Kathy Tremont and Trish Giordano were complmentary of the snow removal efforts by city and county public works crews during the recent storm.
--Tremont and Giordano expressed disappointment about the recent presentation about Geary County and Junction City during a regional summit in Manhattan last Friday. The need to tout accomplishments in Junction City and Geary County and do a better job of selling this area was mentioned.
--The county website and email addresses have transitioned from .org to .gov.
--The next night meeting for the county commission will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
--The biweekly report from the Geary County Sheriff's Department included an average daily jail population of 93 inmates. There were eight accidents and 14 arrests during the period.
