Geary County Commissioners have approved modifying office hours for the County on a six-month trial run beginning June 1.
Please note while officials are openly posting specific by-appointment only hours with these modifications, current operations in the office building are the same. Presently, the building doors open at 8:30 am, but 3 of the 5 offices are available at 8 am.
The modifications will be similar as 3 of the 5 offices will still be available prior to the doors opening at 8:00 am. However, all offices will be available to serve the public at 8 am when the building doors open. All offices will be available to serve the public until 5 pm Monday-Thursday and the office building will be open until 12:30 pm on Friday.
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FOR THE COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING:
- The office building will be open at 8 am Monday-Friday.
- Services in the Treasurer’s office will be by appointment only on FRIDAY. The rest of the week the Treasurer’s office will take both walk-ins and appointments.
- The office building will close at 12:30 pm on Friday. The rest of the week it will still be open until 5 pm.
