More than 300 people attended the Opera House Gala in Junction City Saturday night. One highlight of the event was the Junction City can Dance competition which saw the Teachers Pet entry capture first place.

The Gala was a fundraiser for the new Education Building project adjacent to the C. L. Hoover Opera House.

More than $20,000 was raised between silent and live auctions combined. That total did not include ticket sales and sponsor profits. Those numbers still have to be tallied.
