Junction City Lady Jay head volleyball coach Basil Nevill has decided to step down from that position at JCHS. He has spent 10 years with the program and the last four years as the head coach. "Think it's time that the program moved in a different direction."
One highlight noted by Nevill during his coaching tenure was a season where the Lady Jays recorded a 20-18 record and won their first substate tournament game in several years. "It was a good run and I just think time to move on."
Nevill will continue serving as a Lady Jay assistant coach at the high school and seventh grade boys basketball coach at the middle school level.
