
RILEY COUNTY—Three Kansas teens were injured in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Reece W. Carson, 17, Manhattan, was eastbound on U.S. 24 three miles north of Manhattan. The driver attempted a left turn onto Kansas 13.
The driver failed to yield to the right of way to a westbound 2013 Ram 2500 driven by Brandon D Bussen, 34, Wamego.
The vehicles collided and came to rest on the north shoulder U.S. 24.
EMS transported Carson and one passenger in the Jeep Wyatt H. Henton, 18, Manhattan, to Via Christi. EMS transported a second passenger identified as Micah B. Ugo, 16, Manhattan, to Children's Mercy. Bussen was not injured. The occupants of the Jeep were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
