Konza Prairie Community Health Center has received a limited supply of N95 masks for free public distribution to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and its variants.

Konza is partnering with health departments in Geary and Riley Counties to ensure distribution of these free N95 masks to patients and vulnerable members of the community. Every person is allowed up to three free masks, while supplies last.

Masks are available for patients at Konza clinics in Junction City and Manhattan. They are also available for pick-up at the Geary County Health Department, 1212 W Ash, Junction City on Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – Noon and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and on Friday, 8:00 am – Noon and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. In Manhattan they can also be obtained at the KDHE Riley County COVID-19 Testing Site, 3015 Anderson Ave, Manhattan on Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Masking continues to be a critical public health tool for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Persons who have a condition or are taking medications that weaken their immune system should continue to take all precautions to protect against COVID-19. When worn properly, a well-fitting N95 mask offers a higher level of protection than cloth or medical masks.

This supply of N95 masks is provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to ensure our nation’s underserved communities and those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 have equitable access to protective wear needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other airborne diseases.
