Match Day where pledges could be made to local organizations in Geary County ran all day Tuesday. There were a total of 1,258 gifts received equating to $341,487.29.&nbsp;

Donations have been strong for the Geary Community Match Day. Just before 11 a.m. the coordinator, Calvin Pottberg, noted that there had been donations totaling $165,000. For every dollar pledged 50 cents can be added to the total.

Geary Community Match Day sponsored by the Greater Geary Community Foundation is set for Tuesday. There will be a 50% match on gifts ranging from $25 to $1,000. $140,000 in matching funds will be available.

You can make a donation in-person at the Junction City Municipal Auditorium, by mail if it is postmarked by Tuesday, Oct. 18th at GCCF, P.O. Box 411, Junction City, KS 66441, or online at www.GearyMatchDay.com on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
