Playground equipment recommended for parks projects

Junction City Commissioners Tuesday night will consider a proposed plan from the Parks & Recreation Department for the use of $500,000 in ARPA ( American Rescue Plan Act ) funds for additional parks projects.

 City staff have identified several City parks that need new playground equipment. Staff recommends using the allotted ARPA funds to purchase new playground equipment for Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Bramlage Park, South Park, and North Park. These four parks are in the most need of replacement.

The city commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 701 North Jefferson.
