State Representative Nate Butler has encouraged the Junction City Commission to retain the City's membership in the Flint Hills Regional Council. Butler noted that eliminating the membership would be a mistake and the City could lose a seat at the table. "We need a seat at the table if we want to be regional."
The Executive Director for Junction City Main Street, Michaela Self, als0 noted that the Council had helped finance funding through the Main Street program during the last year. She encouraged support to continue membership in the council.
Commissioners were in session Tuesday night.
