Members of the Junction City - Geary County law enforcement and a Fort Riley Soldier contingent participated in the 41st annual Torch Run on Tuesday. The run began in Manhattan, moved across Ft. Riley and then through Junction City to Heritage Park.

Jacob LaMunyon, Kansas Special Olympics, said all the funds raised goes to Special Olympics athletes.

John Lamb, Junction City Police Chief, was excited to participate in the run that began on Grant Ave. before ending downtown. "Just excited to come out here and raise funds for Special Olympics and the athletes, and hopefully send them on their way to a competitive year. "
