Aviation Expo went on despite the rain

There were only about 10 airplanes at Freeman Field for the 2022 Kansas Aviation Expo on a rainy Saturday morning. The weather impacted the number of planes and pilots in attendance.

Despite that activities went on at the airport, said spokesman Marvin Hornbostel. There was a good turnout for a pancake & sausage breakfast, lunch was being served and there were a number of exhibits to view. Those who did attend could also visit with the pilots and view the planes that were there. Hornbostel noted that there was good community support.
