Geary County Commissioners learned Monday evening that there will be a delinquent tax sale Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Geary County 4-H/Senior Center.
Commissioners conducted an evening meeting Monday night.

The governing body also voted to approve a grant program for the Convention and Visitor's Bureau. It is designed to help local hoteliers attract guests during the World Cup matches that are due to be played in Kansas City next summer. The program calls for a 50% match of up $2,000 CVB on projects underaken by the hoteliers to improve their property.

Commisioners approved a Recovery Month proclamation for Pawnee Mental Health.
Geary County, does proclaim SEPTEMBER 2025 as RECOVERY MONTH and calls upon the citizens, government agencies, public and private institutions, businesses, and schools to recognize the importance of recovery, and to commit the community to increasing awareness and understanding of substance use and mental disorders and the need for appropriate and accessible services for all people.
