RILEY COUNTY—A teen was injured in an accdent just 10a.m. Friday in Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report a 2018 Chevy Equinox driven by Rhonda Higginbotham, 73, of Council Grove struck a 2026 Nissan Versa driven by Kipp Torres, 17, of Manhattan near N. Juliette Avenue and Humboldt Street.
Torres was transported to Via Christi Hospital for injuries. Higginbotham was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign and Torres was issued a citation for driving without a license. The RCPD released no additional details.
