Geary County Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges recently announced that the Kansas Department of Transportation is looking redoing the 303 exit off of I-70. Three options are being considered. "No matter which option they go with it looks like our fire station that's currently the red building at the southeast corner is going to have to be moved. That will be in the right of way."
Berges said over the next year county officials will try to find a location to replace the station. Berges added the new facility will probably be a three-bay station.
