The Blue Jay tennis team put together a dominate performance in their Junction City Varsity Tennis Invite this past Saturday.  Lawrence Free State, Salina South, Topeka High, Abilene and Manhattan all joined Junction City in the 6 team round robin event.

Coach Matt Micheel said that the doubles teams for Junction City put together undefeated days as both doubles teams went 5-0.  Cole Goodwin and Matthew Montgomery won the top flight, while Aaron Matthews and Vincenzo Bonet won the #2 flight to bring home the gold medals.

Tyson Habhab completed in the top singles flight and also had an outstanding day. He dropped a tough first match, but rebounded to win the next four to earn 2nd place with a 4-1 record. Fabian Garcia rounded out the Blue Jay tennis lineup as he earned 4th place with a 2-3 record at the #2 singles spot.

The Blue Jays next compete in the Topeka High Invite on Monday, April 27.  Matches are scheduled to start at 9 am and the event will be held at Kossover Tennis Center.
