Elected officials touch on multiple issues

--USD 475 is developing a memorandum of understanding for Milford Elementary School, That city has offered to help keep the school open with tasks such as water and grass care.

----There are 15 student career pathways at Junction City High School. And this is the first year for the District to have a virtual school. Thirteen students are enrolled. USD 475 wants to have 45-60 kids in it next school year.

--Geary County has been awarded a federal grant to help make safe roads. Elected officials attending a joint city-county-school district meeting were informed that a total of $160,000 would come from the federal government, $30,000 from the state and there would be a $10, 000 County match. 

Planning is underway. The focus would be on rural county-wide roadways and safety concerns.  Public input is wanted on potential future safety projects.

--From the City planning is underway for spring cleaning 2026 in April. No tires will be accepted.
