MILWAUKEE - The Kansas City Royals swept the Milwaukee Brewers in a brief, two-game series, winning Wednesday afternoon 6-3.

Brad Keller tallied his seventh win of the season, pitching 6.2 innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits, six strikeouts, and two walks.

Brewers' pitcher Brent Suter took the loss, as he allowed Kansas City to score three runs, all unearned, on four hits.

The Royals managed six runs off the back of Nicky Lopez and Hunter Dozier, who each tallied two RBIs. Jorge Soler homered in his second consecutive game, for his ninth of the year.

Kansas City has now swept Milwaukee in the season series, winning all four matchups with the Brewers this year.

The Royals now improve to 39-55 on the season, 18.5 games back of the Chicago White Sox. KC will open a seven-game home stand Friday night with three contests against the Detroit Tigers and four against the first place White Sox.
