Music from Styx and and new visuals incorporating dance by the band members will be part of the halftime show by the JCHS Marching Band at Blue Jay football games this fall. Jared Morris, Band Director, feels it will look different than what the audience has been used to seeing. "It's going to be a lot of fun and the students are very excited about it. We'll still have our drill formations but we're going to be incorporating a lot more visuals with body movement and horn movements into those formations."
The Band will be comprised of about 105 members this year, up 20 members from a year ago.
The band members participated in band camp last week, with Samantha Boxberger, Assistant Director, calling it awesome to have the students back. She noted that there was a different energy in the building with the students working to prepare for the upcoming school year.
