RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 8p.m. Wednesday in Riley County.
A 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by Charles Danley, 27, of Fort Riley was westbound on Fort Riley Blvd near. mile marker 186, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
The pickup passed a 2016 Ram 1500 driven Herbert Havens, 19, of Zanesville, Ohio on the shoulder. This caused the two vehicles to collide.
The Ram then slid off the road into a guard rail. EMS transported a female passenger of the Ram to Via Christi for treatment of neck pain.
RCPD issued Danley a citation for improper driving on a laned roadway and reckless driving. There were no other injuries reported.
