
MANHATTAN —Officials are investigating the cause of a garage fire in Manhattan.
At 7:47 p.m. on Wednesday, the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to 1949 Judson St. for a report of a garage on fire, according to a media release. Upon arrival, crews found a detached garage heavily involved in fire. The fire was contained within 15 minutes.
A total of 16 firefighters responded on 6 fire apparatus with the last units clearing after 9:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
The structure is a 24' x 24' two-car garage. Loss is estimated at $50,000 to contents and $30,000 to the structure.
The owners are listed as Brett and Katrin Starnes of the same address.
