JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (May 1, 2026) – Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills Campus and the Stormont Vail Foundation invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of Southern-inspired fun and philanthropy during Derby Day in the Flint Hills, a fundraising event benefiting the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at the Flint Hills Campus.
Derby Day will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 3–6 p.m. at Highwind Brewing Co., 726 N. Washington St., Junction City.
Guests are encouraged to don their best Derby attire—complete with bold hats and stylish bow ties—for an afternoon featuring signature mint juleps, Southern-inspired food, games and activities, a Derby Day raffle, and hat and bow-tie contests. All proceeds raised through the event will directly support cardiac rehabilitation services at Stormont Vail Health’s Flint Hills Campus.
Funds raised locally by the Stormont Vail Foundation stay local—supporting projects, programs, and equipment investments that directly benefit patients and services at the Flint Hills Campus.
Proceeds from Derby Day will help purchase new cardiac rehabilitation equipment and support the launch of Phase 3 cardiac rehabilitation, an advanced phase of recovery designed to help patients maintain heart-healthy lifestyles after completing earlier stages of rehabiltation.
