Arthur Rector, 92 of Abilene passed away November 19, 2025. He was born April 27, 1933 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Estella (Gray) Rector. On September 21, 1952 he was united in marriage to Dolores Rufener. She preceded him in death in December of 2007.
Arthur worked for Lucky Stores in California for 23 ½ years as an assistant manager and later becoming manager. He later moved back to the Dickinson County area and worked general labor for ADM Mill for 18 years. Arthur is survived by his two sons, Gary Rector and Michael Rector and wife Kathy. Grandchildren: Christopher Rector, Jennifer Rector, Joseph Allen, Larry, Tim, Teresea and Jennifer. Great-Grandchildren: Darren, Dawson, Danielle, Erin, Dusty, Larry JR, Gary, Michael and Leon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Delores, parents, granddaughter, Tina and siblings, Clarence, Cliff, Everett, Charlie, Dessi, Harold, Herb and Bob.
Funeral Services for Arthur will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7PM at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Hospice of Dickinson County.
