Geary County schools State of Education report is set for Tuesday evening

Topics ranging from the state of education to teaching and learning, operations, finance, personnel services and technology in Geary USD 475 will be on the agenda Tuesday evening during a school district  public forum. It begins at 7 p.m. at the Junction City High School auditorium.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Reginald Eggleston will present the State of Education. Other speakers and topics will include the State of Teaching and Learning by Associate Superintendent of Schools Dr. Debra Gustafson, State of Operations by Chief Operations Officer David Wild, State of Technology by Chief Information Officer Karl DeArmond, State of Finance from Chief Financial Officer Marilee Fredricks and State of Personnel Services by the Executive Director of Personnel Services, Timothy Winter.

The session will also include recognition of Kansas Teacher of the Year Award, Kansas Master Teacher Award, Horizon Award and Shining Star Award recipients for the district. There will be multiple performances by student musical groups.
