
Dawn K. Serrano-Barker, age 56, of Junction City, died April 24, 2023.
She was born on November 15, 1966 in Auburn, New York, the daughter of Robert and Nyda VanOrder Walker.
On November 15, 2022 in Geary County, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Robert Barker. He survives at their home in Junction City.
Dawn enjoyed helping others in need, spending time with her loved ones, bragging about her children, the thrill of playing bingo, playing Yahtzee with her sisters, and was an amazing caregiver. She will be tremendously missed by many.
She was a member of the Eagle Lodge in Junction City and also The Fellowship Lighthouse Church of God in Junction City.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nyda Runge, her sons: Randall Scott and Jeremiah Wayne; a brother Robert Louis, sister Sandra Clark, and her former husband, Tom Robison.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: David Serrano-Torres (Tiffany Delgado), of Raleigh, NC, Nathan Robison (Eva Kelley) of Salem, OR, Reina Robison, of Seattle, WA, Chris Robison, of Salem, OR, Katherine Robison, of Salem, OR; her siblings: Robin Geopfert, of Loveland, CO, Dixie Brabb (Gene) of Alta Vista, KS, Pam Hamilton, of Junction City, KS, Cheryl Johnson (Travis) of Wake Forrest, NC, Lisa Houston (Eric) of Junction City, KS, Evelyn Dakken (Wyatt) of Alta Vista, KS; and also her many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday May 1, 2023 at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
The Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
