LeRoy Henry Schweir, 88, of McFarland, Kansas, passed away on Sunday (May 15, 2022) in McFarland.
Born September 20, 1933 in Belvue, Kansas, LeRoy was the son of Henry P. and Lillie (Heine) Schweir.
LeRoy was a 1951 graduate of Alma High School. He joined the Army on October 12, 1954 and served in Germany until his discharge on November 23, 1956.
An avid fisherman and deer hunter, LeRoy’s passion was working on his farm and raising steers.
Survivors include three nephews, Paul Schweir of Maple Hill, KS, Wayne Schweir (Dedra) of Belvue, KS and Kenneth Schweir of Wamego, KS; one great niece and two great nephews; and a sister in law, Gertrude Schweir of Belvue, KS.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lawrence Schweir; and two nieces, Karen Rezac and Donna Jean Schweir.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Alma.
