Timothy “Tim” Scanlan age 67 was born April 17 1955 in Chicago Illinois. Tim passed away July 11, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan after a short battle with cancer, with his wife Robin by his side. Tim was preceded in death by his father George and mother Florine Scanlan. Tim is survived by his wife Robin, his son Jason, and grandsons, JJ and Wyatt Lucas, and also his four siblings: Fran, Tom, Steve and Sue. Tim was a local member of AA, and thru AA was able to help others and passed away sober. Tim served ten years in the U.S. Army, and was stationed at Budigan, Germany, Ft Hood Texas before being stationed at Ft Riley. Tim has worked at Shilling Construction in Manhattan for 35 years. Memorial Service will be held on Friday July 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery at Fort Riley with immediate family members. There will be a celebration of life that same day at the Blue Hills Room from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will dearly be missed.
