An audience of approximately 90 parishioners, teachers, parents, students and alumni attended a briefing this week on an operational stability assessment to help the future of Saint Xavier School. According to School Principal Shawn Augustine there was a survey that included data collection and focus areas that included leadership, planning, development, communications, enrollment management, organizational structure and revenue generation.
Councils, the parish, school and finances all received attention. There were talks with school leaders and interviews with the parish and school administration plus families. A national company called ISPD is working on the project.
Strengths ranged from small class sizes amd individualized student attention to committed staff and a safe family oriented environment.
Challenges include financial sustainability and increasing enrollment for a PreK-12 school. ISPD wii provide directive measures on what Saint X can do to continue to provide sustainability.
This effort will be an ongoing process.
